A LORRY carrying a large number of cattle has overturned near the water's edge of the River Teme.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue was called to Holly Bush Lane, off the B4203 at Wolferlow near Bromyard, near to Upper Sapey golf course at 2.36pm to reports that a lorry carrying livestock had overturned.
The incident happened near to the River Teme and is reportedly close to the water's edge.
The lorry is carrying around 50 cows on two decks.
Crews from Bromyard, Worcester and Stourport as well as the urban search and rescue team from Droitwich, carrying heavy lifting equipment, are at the scene.
Efforts are being made to save the cattle, which are still in the vehicle, and crews are also working to stabilise the lorry.
