MEMBERS and visitors enjoyed a very interesting afternoon at their meeting on August 28.

The chairman, Liffy Curtis, welcomed everyone and introduced Arnaud Metaire the theme for his demonstration was Florabunda.

Arnaud created six most beautiful arrangements while telling us about the village and lovely gardens in Winchcome where he lives.

The first arrangement was in a tall glass, laurel leaves and grasses draped down with white gerberas and carnations.

The second was a silver bucket decorated with green foliage asparagus fern, pale pink and dark red roses.

Third again was a tall glass container trailing amaranthus, red roses, pink hydrangea heads, copper painted leaves and foliage.

Fourth was a small tree draped with green foliage mostly ivy, pink dahlias, lime chrysanthemums and yellow roses; fifth a window arrangement using large foliage dark pink gerberas, lime green carnations and pale pink orchids.

Finally a most spectacular arrangement entitled A Masked Ball with three gold fans, two feathered face masks, sunflowers, red gladiolus, yellow roses orange dahlias and foliage. A vote of thanks was given by Sandra Starkey.
