THE stars of this year’s Malvern Theatres magical pantomime Cinderella are thrilled to be taking to the stage.

The classic tale stars Hi-de-Hi’s Ruth Madoc as Fairy Godmother, and children’s TV stars Jamie Rickers at Buttons and Emma Nowell as Cinderella.

The show, which runs between December 13 and January 6, marks a welcome return to the Malvern stage for Ruth and Emma, but will be Jamie’s first.

Speaking at the panto’s launch at the theatres on Wednesday, he said: “I’ve got friends who have played here before.

“It’s like the Tardis. I looked on the website first but it’s huge.

“I like to get a feel for the place.”

Emma added: “I love this place.

“I’m so glad to be back.”
