COLWALL Primary School is holding its summer event on Friday, June 15, from 5pm to 7pm.

Included in the evenings entertainment will be The Silly Olympics with games that the Greeks never thought of.

There is also a Kids Zone, a plant stall in the school garden, a hot hog roast with vegetarian option, a bar, homemade cakes, locally grown strawberries and cream and a fabulous raffle.

Prizes this year include tickets for the West Midland Safari Park, a voucher for the interior designers Tinsmiths, tickets for a Worcestershire County Cricket match and more.

The celebrated countertenor Nicholas Clapton will be in concert at St James the Great Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 23. Tickets cost £12.50 including wine and canapés during the interval, and are available from John Goodwins the estate agents or by e-mailing jennigriggs@mail.com.

Another date for your diaries, Saturday, July 7 – the Colwall Jubilee Dog Show. Once again this will be held at Brockbury Hall, Stowe Lane, Colwall, and will start at 6pm.
