PEOPLE will be hoping for a clear view over the Malvern Hills when when a famous county landmark opens to the public for the first time.
The Panorama Tower at Croome, near Upton, has been renovated by the National Trust after it was acquired in 2009.
It will open to the public for the first time in a special open day on Sunday.
Visitor services manager Amy Forster said: “The Panorama Tower is in a unique location as it not only overlooks Croome but also the Malvern Hills and the cathedral in Worcester.
“It’s often spotted by passing motorists, who don’t realise it’s on the edge of an estate that used to stretch for more than 14,000 acres in the 18th century.
“We’re really pleased we can now let people venture up the spiral staircase to experience its full beauty.”
The open day starts with a guided walk from Croome’s visitor centre at 11am. For information or to book, call 01905 371006.
