BEGINNING on Saturday, May 19, a stunning embroidery exhibition entitled Creation: a Celebration is being shown at Lansdowne Crescent Methodist Church, Great Malvern until Wednesday, June 13 (to include Malvern Civic Week).

The 42 panels created by Sue Symons, are on loan from the Bible Society and admission is free with refreshments available; donations for the exhibition costs and the Bible Society.

The opening times are mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm, afternoons from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and evenings from 6pm to 8pm.

On Saturday, May 26, also at Lansdowne Methodist Church, singers are invited to sing Haydn’s Creation against the embroidery exhibition backdrop.

Rehearsals are from 2.30pm to 4pm with a half-hour break and from 4.30pm to 6pm. To sing, the cost is £2.50 (please book in by ringing Heather Williamson on 01684 575594).

The concert is conducted by John Blenkinsopp with soloists Sue Black, Iain Sloan and Tim Cranmore, accompanied by Penny Vere.

Tickets for the concert which starts at 7.30pm are free on the door and donations are invited.
