MP Harriett Baldwin this week congratulated the team running an “outstanding” Malvern care home.

She toured the Howbury House Resource Centre in Pickersleigh Grove after being told how good it is.

Harriett took tea with staff and residents during her visit on Friday.

Howbury House, a county council facility, cares for 32 people and offers transitional care helping people between being discharged from hospital and returning to their homes.

She said: “I arranged the visit after receiving a wonderful letter from a constituent saying what a great job the staff do.

“It is always a pleasure to be able to visit somewhere that has such an outstanding reputation and I was more than happy to spread the good news.

“I spoke to many of the current residents and everyone seems to be really happy with the care they are receiving, and they are soon ready to return home.”

Jackie Creese, Howbury House manager, added: “We have a dedicated team here at Howbury who work hard to ensure that all those who stay with us experience the very best care possible.

“It is so rewarding when somebody comes back and tells us what a positive experience they have had with us.”
