IT is clear that both LESS and LOTS have strong feelings about the proposals for a Sainsbury’s store in the town. As a group we would like to step away from the debate and agree to disagree.
Our focus is the benefits, such as no longer having to drive out of town to do our main food shop, a much needed new petrol station, desperately needed jobs for local people and helping local firm Galebreaker to expand.
We are looking forward to the application being validated so we can view the plans in more detail and in particular the consultation results, that we are sure will show a majority support the store.
