ANYONE who cares about the future of Upton's Lower High Street toilets must attend a rally tomorrow (Saturday.)
That was the battle cry issued by district councillor Mary Wilkinson, who is organising the protest against Malvern Hills District Council's decision to close the toilets in March this year.
Conservative parliamentary candidate Harriet Baldwin will be speaking at the rally, which takes place in the King's Head yard at 3pm.
Mrs Wilkinson said: "This is a last cry to draw attention to the issue yet again. I think a lot of people will be there. It's not really about people talking, but about people showing that they are still furious about the decision."
Mrs Wilkinson added the closure had affected residents as well as tourists.
"It's quite a step to the other toilets in Hanley Road, especially for the elderly. People do pay a lot of council tax, and whilst the toilets are not mandatory, I think there is almost a moral obligation to provide them."
