MANY of us who use and care for the Link Common on a daily basis were not aware that either the hirer or the Conservators had carried out any remedial repairs to the Common after the damage caused in May.
Thus the hire charge as stated (Malvern Gazette, August 25) and the bond, might be considered adequate in the view of the Conservators. Was the bond returned to the hirer?
I feel this is a disappointing response from the Conservators, just as many felt when they contacted them in May to express concern when the damage was being caused.
Perhaps they might also be interested enough to ask who cleared up the Common after the last hiring and the detritus left by visitors.
