HARMONIC Temple Singing workshops, led by Nickomo and Rasullah, will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 29-30, at St James Church, Colwall.

These are a collection of chants in four-part harmony with texts from various spiritual traditions. Trees Weird Wonderful Ancient is a talk tomorrow (Saturday), at 7.30pm, at Colwall Village Hall given by Archie Miles, who is currently working on a tie-in book for a new BBC2 series, The Trees that made Britain. The next meeting of the Wyche and Colwall Horticultural Society will take place on Monday (September 4), at 7.30pm. The Percy Picton Memorial lecture will be held on Monday, October 2, when the speaker will be Penelope Hobhouse, author and international garden designer. The cost will be £10, including refreshments, and proceeds will go to the Percy Picton Memorial Fund. Reception at 7pm for talk at 7.45pm.
