NINE artists from around Tarrington have come together to stage a magical arts trail during Herefordshire Arts Week.

The Tarrington Barn Arts Show at Brook House, Tarrington, features illuminated evening art trails during weekends as well as daily exhibitions, from Friday, September 8, to Sunday, September 17.

Open every day during Herefordshire Art Week (September 9-17), from 10.30am to 5.30pm there are additional light shows from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Entry is free and refreshments are available.

Ledbury talent will be very much on display during the week.

On weekends only, abstract artist Peter Arscott is exhibiting, at Oakland House, The Homend.

During the week, artist Valerie McLean, of Wynberg, Newbury Park, will launch her new book, a collection of paintings and drawings called May Hill.

Veronica Yapp, of Mistral, Bosbury, will put on show her landscapes of both Herefordshire and Provence.

Ledbury group, Artistree, in conjunction with the Framing Company, will have an exhibition at Unit 1, The Homend Trading Estate.

Several Artistree members will host individual exhibitions, including Caroline Owen-Thomas at the Ice Bytes Internet Café, and Jeanette McCulloch and Angie Hughes at Ledbury Parish Church and also at the Ledbury Artplace, Worcester Road.

Botanical artist, Maureen Kretchting, will exhibit at 9, Pound Meadow, New Street.

Black Dog French Polishing will demonstrate the craft at Leighton Court, Lower Eggleton and, at the same venue, Rosalind Johansson will put her hand-printed, hand-dyed cottons and wax prints on display.

Alex Wilkins the blacksmith will be in action at The Forge, Newhouse Farm, Stretton Grandison and the traditional willow baskets of Jenny Pearce will delight visitors to Vicarage Cottage, Canon Frome.

An exhibition in Clissett Wood Barn, Stanley Hill, Bosbury, will include stained glass by Tamsin Abbot, wooden bowls by Chris Amstrong, prints by Annie Finch, wildlife photography by Chris Harris, greenwood furniture by Gudrun Leitz, green oak structures by Doug Joiner and willow baskets by Sheila Wynter,

The Herefordshire Arts and Craft Society will bring A Splash of Colour to the Greenstage Gallery at the Hop Pocket Craft Centre, Bishop's Frome.

Workshops and exhibitions at the Blue-Ginger Gallery in Cradley include a chance to see sculptor Caro Sweet at work on Sunday, September 10, and clay workshops with Mike Harris on Friday, September 15.
