ON June 30 I shall be stepping down as correspondent for Wellington Heath. It has been four years now since I started reporting the village news. If you feel you would like to take on this task, please give me a ring on the above telephone number.
There is a Parish Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 26 at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall.
The next Curious Blend Coffee Morning is on Thursday, April 28 from 10am–noon. All welcome.
On Friday, April 29 (Royal Wedding), Martin at the Farmers Arms will be serving a pig roast from 5pm into the evening. For those who are vegetarians there will be a vegetarian grill. The cost of this will be £6. Booking is recommended, so please give Martin a ring on 632010 so that he as an idea on how many to cater for. This should be a nice family event, so please do try and support Martin at our village pub.
Memorial Hall bookings for week commencing, Friday, April 22:- Tuesday, April 26 Bridge 1.45pm, Table Tennis 7pm. Wednesday, April 27 Pilates 1pm & 6.45pm. Thursday, April 28 Art Classes 10am.
Christchurch Services for week commencing Sunday, April 24:- Sunday, April 24 at 9.30am is Family service– Easter Sunday – Celebrant - The Reverend Howard Mayell and on Wednesday, April 27 at 9.30am is Morning prayers.
From Sunday, April 17 – May 2 there will be an Easter Experience Celebration at Christ Church with an Easter Story Tableaux - Easter in Art - Traditions over the Centuries – Activities and prizes for children of all ages. The displays and children’s activities will be available at all times during the week before and after Easter, just visit your village church when it suits you.
