SEVEN girls from Malvern St James school are celebrating after being offered places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
They include last year’s head girl Alice Porter, from Storridge, who will be going to read English at Oxford. She is joined by Lucy Cui, who has an offer to study chemistry, and Tracy Huang, who has a maths offer.
Cambridge has made offers to Jean Wang (civil engineering), Zoe Xu (chemical engineering), Rhiannon Allen (English) and Jessica Lai (veterinary science).
Headmistress Patricia Woodhouse said: “This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of the girls gaining places at two of the world’s leading universities. It reflects the continuing high standards of excellence achieved at Malvern St James across a plethora of subjects.”
