THE annual Village Christmas Post is open until Saturday, 18 December 18 with boxes sited around the village at: The Village Pharmacy, John Goodwin, Porch of 18 Evendine Corner, Colwall Green and the porch of Wychecote, (on track about the Good Shepherd). The cost this year is 15p per item. Don’t forget to put the full address on each envelope and to place the money and card together in the box. On Friday, December 10 the Colwall Community Choir will be giving a concert in the Village Hall beginning at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

Joyful Tidings is the title of a concert to be given by the Colwall Singers at 7.45pm on Tuesday, December 14 in the Village Hall. Entry is free but there will be an opportunity to donate to the Air Ambulance.

Because of the freezing weather a large crowd gathered inside the Colwall Park Hotel for one of the first of this year’s Light Up a Life services. The carols which were sung lustily were accompanied by The Colwall Carousel Handbells. The service was led by the Chaplain of St Michael’s Hospice in conjunction with Colwall Rotary Club.

Charity Christmas Cards will be on sale at Colwall Library on Saturday, December 11 from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. The cards will be sold in aid of a variety of charities of the Midland Charities Association with volunteers from Save the Children running the stall.

On Thursday, December 16 the annual carols, readings and seasonal refreshments will take place in The Ale House at 7.30pm. All are welcome to go along to this atmospheric evening.

Visit the farmyard and animals from 3pm and join in the Nativity Service at 4pm followed by refreshments at Woofields Farm, Coddington on Saturday, December 11. All are welcome.

The Mistletoe Fair on Saturday, December 11 from 2pm-4pm will be held at Caves Folly Nurseries, Evendine Lane, Colwall. As well as sustainable harvested mistletoe from local orchards, there will be local seasonal goodies, mulled cider and apple juice.
