TOWN'S first friendly of the season enabled new manager Paul Molloy to play virtually different sides in each half.
BRIDGNORTH 1, MALVERN TOWN 1
With only recognised players Dean Roberts and new signing Wes Joyce in the starting line-up, chances were at a minimum as both sides struggled in the heat.
The second-half saw Malvern dictate for long periods but they found themselves 1-0 down when Bridgnorth's left-winger scored.
Malvern stepped up the pace and Halion and Stephenson took control of the midfield. Malvern equalised when Phil Preedy fed Mark Goodman, who slotted home.
Malvern nearly snatched victory when a Duncan Preedy effort was turned round the post by the keeper.
Malvern Town visit Ledbury Town tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 2pm.
