CHRISTMAS again! Tinsel, cake, children’s nativity plays, tea towel headdresses, fake gold bars, presents good and bad. Familiar! Comforting? The spirit of Christmas is with us again’ we say, but what do we mean?
In the accounts of that first Christmas, we encounter elderly priests, prophets, shepherds, astronomers, an honourable fiancée, and of course a young girl. Angels met some but God spoke to all. It completely changed their lives forever when He involved them in His purposes.
In the middle, a young girl, Mary, a virgin, agreeing to carry a baby that she knows has no biological Father.
“How can this be?” she asks. “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” She agrees, Christmas becomes a reality and the supernatural burst into our everyday lives!
When Jesus breaks through into our lives it is always a miracle. We need the supernatural! Just as God invaded our history and the Christ Child was born, so the Holy Spirit can invade your life this Christmas.
When you pray ask God to answer in His way - He has supernatural plans for your life!
