THE Mobile Library will be calling at the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, November 18 between 11.35am–11.55am Wellington Heath Amateur Dramatic Society (WHADS) is all set to present their latest show Strike Happy. This play is a farcical three- act comedy by Duncan Greenwood and it runs from Thursday, November 12 to Saturday, November 14 at 7.30pm at Wellington Heath Memorial Hall. The drama tells the hilarious tale of a lazy husband who decides to fill the house with lodgers to supplement his income while the factory he works at is on strike. Protagonist Albert Hellewell is rather enjoying being out on strike until his wife leaves him to fend for himself and the advances and arrears of the household of showbiz lodgers prove too much. Tickets cost £5 and are available on the door, in advance from cast members or by telephoning 01531 630005.

On Saturday, November 28 there will be a Christmas Fair in the Memorial Hall from 10am–noon. The stalls will include crafts, books, lucky dip, tombola, decorations, raffle, kiddie’s workshops, cake stall, homemade products and toys. The raffle prize will be a Christmas Hamper. Refreshments will be on sale. All the proceeds from this will go towards Christ Church.
