THE benefice memorial service held in Birtsmorton Church proved to be a very popular event. The church was filled to capacity each member of the congregation using the opportunity to remember a loved one. the Nan-Fan tomb played host to the many candles that were lit during the ceremony. The candles once lit were left to burn themselves out of their own accord as a silent prayer. The service itself was quiet and reflective with a superb sermon from our Rector, Reverend Mike Rogers, who also had the task of reading out 12 pages of names of those who sadly are no longer with us.
Remembrance Sunday was celebrated at Birtsmorton last Sunday.
We also wish to congratulate Mrs E Long who celebrated her 90th birthday recently.
