A MALVERN drama group is looking for more youngsters to join after Easter.

Act Up meets at the Coach House Theatre in Malvern on a Wednesday from 4.15pm - 5.15pm. There is just one group at present but the idea is to split into two groups as soon as possible - primary age and high school pupils.

Act Up focuses mostly on drama with some song and dance included and offers LAMDA accredited exams and the opportunity to be in numerous shows through the theatre.

The group has been going since 2019 and they teach seven to16 year olds.

Carrie Kidman Beeson, who runs ActUp worked professionally for many years in various plays, musical theatre productions and on Cruise ships (in the show team), before moving to Malvern.

She said: β€œIt would be great to see more children join our talented group. We have a lovely group of children who are very welcoming. It is so wonderful and rewarding for me to see the young people have fun while learning, growing in confidence and making new friends whilst working together to create theatre.”
