A Worcestershire-based mobile car detailing company has received £13,000 to kickstart the business.

Lords Automotive, based in Evesham, obtained the funding from First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans as part of the British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans scheme.

The company's mission is to restore cars to their original state with a high degree of valeting and detailing, while also prioritising environment protection through minimal water use in the cleaning process.

The business was founded by married couple Marian Saghin and Sinziana Taran to fill a gap in the area's market with "mobile valeting", bringing the service directly to customers.

The partnership merges Mr Saghin's fervor for valeting and detailing with Mrs Taran’s experience in customer service in the hospitality sector.

The funding has mainly been used to acquire and equip a van with necessary materials, such as a water tank, electric generator, cleaning products, and equipment.

It has also been spent on designing a website and purchasing uniforms for brand awareness.

First Enterprise offers Government-backed loans ranging from £500 to £250,000 for start-ups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that cannot secure loans through traditional high-street lenders.

Mrs Taran, co-founder of Lords Automotive, said: "We applied for a Start Up Loan to get the business started, and securing the loan has helped us make our dream come true.

"The application was quicker than I had expected, and the support from my business adviser, Inderpal, was priceless and crucial for the application approval.

"We wholeheartedly recommend the Start Up Loan to anyone looking to start a business and in need of financial support."

Similarly, Inderpal Singh, business adviser at First Enterprise, said: "Marian and Sinziana have demonstrated a profound dedication to their work.

"It was a positive experience to review and support their loan application.

"I have no doubt that Lords Automotive will flourish in the coming years."

Richard Bearman, managing director of small business lending, British Business Bank, said: "Lords Automotive are filling a much needed gap in their local market and I’m confident that they will be able to continue to develop the business following their First Enterprise - Enterprise Loans.

"We are proud to support them on their journey and look forward to watching them grow even further."
