MALVERN'S modern jazz group Moments Notice have been invited to play at Cheltenhan's annual Jazz Festival in May.
The band, run by Malvern trumpet player Robin Miller, was only formed last year by players from the Malvern Big Band and members are delighted to have been asked to take part in what is one of the most popular jazz festivals in the UK.

The band's main influences are the classic Bluenote albums from the 1950s through to the early 70s and take in compositions by the likes of Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane.
Moment's Notice line up features Robin Miller on trumpet and flugelhorn, Mike Halliday on alto saxaphone,Peter Bailhit on guitar, Dave Etheridge on bass and Richard Alston on drums.
The band has a website which it shares with Malvern Big Band at www.malvernjazz.co.uk.
