CHILDREN will soon be able to ride a bike when the popular Balanceability course returns to the Malvern Hills district.
The next programmes takes place on Thursday, February 15, at the Hill Centre, Upton, and Monday, February 19, at Dyson Perrins school, Malvern.
The course is 45 minutes long and is aimed at youngsters aged five-plus who cannot already ride a bike.
Balanceability is the UK’s first and only accredited learn to cycle programme, which involves a schedule of fun activities that build confidence, spatial awareness and balance skills, enabling young children to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and cost £7.50 per child, per session.
Rachel Vann, physical activity and well-being officer at Malvern Hills District Council, said: “These courses are a great opportunity for children to develop balance, gliding and stopping skills, and the confidence needed to learn to ride a bike in a friendly, safe environment.”
