THE Chandos Symphony Orchestra is opening its 40th anniversary season with a concert in Malvern featuring the return of pianist Aydin Onac.
The orchestra and their guest will be playing Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto no 2, arguably the composer's must famous work.
A spokesman said: "Chandos has been fortunate to work with Aydin on a number of occasions during its four decades, and the orchestra is delighted that he can be part of this celebratory year.
"The combination of this extraordinarily talented pianist and quite possibly the best-loved piano concerto ever written makes this a performance not to be missed."
The concert, on Sunday, March 18, at the Forum Theatre, also features the Carnival Romain Overture by Berlioz and Mahler's Symphony no 1 "Titan". The conductor is Michael Lloyd.
Tickets are £12, £14 and £16, with children getting in for half-price. They are available from the Malvern Theatre box office on 01684 892277.
