A MALVERN photographer had atmospheric pictures of the town shrouded by fog published in several national newspapers.

Jan Sedlacek, who trades as Digitlight Photography, sent out copies of a number of pictures he took from a vantage point on North Hill, looking east over Malvern towards Worcester one evening earlier this month.

He said: "I spent around three hours out there in total until my lens started fogging so frequently that it was impossible to carry on with these long exposures."

And he was delighted when the pictures were published on the same day in the Times, Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Express and Daily Mirror. One of the images from the session had been published in the Malvern Gazette a few days previously.

He said: "Seeing those shots published by almost all of the major national newspapers at the same time, I was over the moon. Starting to appear more often on nationwide platforms and achieving certain level of national recognition is my long-term goal.

"And being able to promote and showcase to the whole country the unique beauty this area has to offer will be a great opportunity and big part of the whole project."
