CHRIST Church in Malvern has broken its record by collecting 443 shoe boxes as part of Operation Christmas Child.
The boxes have now been sent to the warehouse ready to be packed for their ultimate destinations in Belarus and Serbia.
Dyson Perrins schoolchildren contributed 81 boxes, with significant contributions from Malvern Parish School, Malvern St James, Pendock and the Chase as well.
Angie Green of Christ Church said: "Wherever the destination and however many the miles travelled, it all still adds up to the same, 443 children who otherwise would not have received anything.
"It was very emotional to see all of the boxes being loaded by some of the congregation and we are already planning starting early for next year’s collection."
