THE family of a man who died following an alleged murder in Worcester last night has confirmed his identity as 63-year-old Robert Sampson.
They have also released the attached photo of Mr Sampson.
Police are awaiting formal identification of the victim and will confirm identity once this has taken place.
A 28-year-old man from Worcester has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 63-year-old man died following an incident on Crookbarrow Road, Norton, Worcester.
It is understood that the arrested man is Mr Sampson's son.
Police said they were called at 11pm to a report of a man attacking another man in the street.
On arrival they found the victim with a serious head injury and a stab wound to the body.
