A FORMER priest who preached around the world has celebrated 60 years since becoming an ordained minister.
Canon Julian Charley, aged 87, was the vicar of Great Malvern Priory Church from 1987 until his retirement in 1997.
He was also involved in the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission and travelled around the world giving talks about Christianity.
Mr Charley was ordained as a deacon in St Paul's Cathedral on June 29, 1957, after completing his training.
A year later he became a priest and went on to work as a lecturer at the London College of Divinity and St John's Theological College.
