A MALVERN man is due to appear in court tomorrow (Saturday) after a family was threatened with a machete in their home at Hall Green, Birmingham.
Officers arrested 32-year-old James Smith today (Friday) and he has been charged with aggravated burglary, possession of a bladed article and actual bodily harm.
Smith. of Marlborough Gardens, Malvern, has been remanded into custody and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court.
The incident happened on Monday.
The police appeal for information has been shared hundreds of times across social media and in local news, and since its release West Midlands Police received plenty of information.
A spokesman said: "Thank you to everyone who has shared, liked and commented on the appeal and those who have got in contact to tell officers what they know."
Police are still appealing to trace a second man and anyone with information about his identity, or about the incident in general is urged to contact DC Tom Lyons on t.lyons@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk.
