A FUN run event brought plenty of colour to West Malvern and raised at least £6,000 for a popular local cause.

Malvern’s Marvellous Multicolour Fun Run returned for its second year, once again supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance.

The event took place at the Elim International College, where the 300 runners could opt to do one, two or three laps of a gentle cross-country course within the grounds.

And at various places around the course, the events team and supporters coved the participants brightly-coloured biodegradable powder paints.

Michelle McCracken of the air ambulance charity said: “All of this year’s multicolour fun runners had a fantastic time and we are grateful that they came out and supported us in such a colourful way.”

A smaller family course featuring a dragon egg hunt was open all day for the under-fives.

The event was organised jointly by the college and West Malvern-based adventure tour company Greenrock.
