"WORK on the laying of the foundations of Malvern Town FC's new dressing rooms at Langland Stadium will commence next week," said the Gazette 50 years ago.

"This was reported by Mr A Cattell, honorary secretary of Malvern Town FC, at the club's annual meeting held at Langland Stadium on Monday.

"Mr Gattell said that, through the generosity of Colonel Brown, who had given the chippings, and the Alexandra Stone Company, who had loaned the machine, the committeee members of the club had made some 1,100 concrete blocks for the new dressing rooms."

He added that work would go on seven days a weeks, and it was hoped the new premises would be available for use when the new football season commenced.
