SUPERMARKET workers made a ‘Hotter than Hell’ pizza with one of the world’s hottest chillies.

The product was designed for Halloween and is believed to be the most powerful supermarket pizza ever made in the UK.

Morrisons Pizza Counter staff at the store in Roman Way, Malvern, created the 10 inch stone-baked bases on Friday, October 28.

During this process the pizza-makers wore latex gloves, safety goggles and aprons for protection.

Mark Kirman, store manager at Morrisons Malvern, said: “A few of our customers who are chill fans have been telling us that they don’t get the extreme heat they’re after when eating regular pizzas.

“We thought we’d make something for Halloween with of a kick! We’ve worked with our British chilli grower to grow these extreme heat chillies.

“Our pizza counter staff are now on standby in their protective gear to make the pizzas up.”

The Naga chilli used in the pizza is 200 times hotter than Tabasco sauce, with a Scoville rating of up to one million.

Available for a limited period, the pizza was wrapped with caution tape and warnings about the extreme heat.
