On October 19 Colwall Wings WI enjoyed ‘Wine Making and Tasting Elgar Wines’ with Cathie Rolinson of Lovells Vineyard. We learnt about the history of Elgar wines, how a local vineyard produces its award winning wines. We tasted a selection of white and rosé wine and learnt some of the tricks when ordering wine in a restaurant.
It was a fun evening enjoyed by all.
Our next evening is on 16th October when Colwall’s own ‘Lady P’, Colwall Post Mistress and Florist, will be demonstrating how to make Christmas wreaths.
An active programme of events is being planned for 2017 – from belly dancing to aviation. Special interest groups have been formed for our members and include book clubs, craft groups and a golf society. For information visit www.colwallwings.co.uk
