THE organisers of Malvern Hills Food Bank have thanked all the groups that donated items after holding harvest festivals.
Cathy Jackson-Read, who chairs the food bank trustees, said: "A large number of schools, churches, and local businesses gave generous donations recently, as a result of the harvest festivals they held.
" They include Holy Trinity, Malvern, Powick Church, Little Blossoms Nursery, the Octagon Coffee Shop, Upton Primary School, the Beauchamp Community."
“We are very pleased that so many people in the Malvern Hills area chose to use this time of harvest to support those in crisis. It is gratifying to witness the support given by local groups to our foodbank users.
"As a result of these kind donations, the foodbank is well supplied with a number of basics, including baked beans, pasta, cereals and tinned soup. We would welcome contributions of men and women’s deodorants, fruit juice and sponge puddings. Thanks to everyone for their continuing support."
