THE organisers of the West Fest music festival have just handed over £3,000 raised at this year's event to local good causes.

The event, held on July 2, featured some of the finest musical talent from Malvern and beyond.

The money raised at the event, held on the West Malvern playing field, has now been distributed, and among the beneficiaries were Malvern Sea Cadets, Colwall Rotary, Heartstart Malvern, Mathon Tennis Club, 7th Malvern Scouts,The Cube, The Tribe, Elim,

Cycle Track and St James Primary School West Malvern.

The evening included a presentation by Tim White on what West Fest means to the local community, followed by an open forum to discuss new ideas for 2017 and an appeal for volunteers.
