POLICE are hunting masked robbers who threatened a petrol station worker before making off with cash and cigarettes.

West Mercia Police have issued these images of the suspects, who struck at Hartlebury Service Station in Crown Lane in the early hours of Sunday, August 28.

A spokesman for the police said that, shortly after 4am, two men walked into the service station, threatened a member of staff and forced him open the tills with a crow bar.

They made off with cash and cigarettes in the direction of Kidderminster or Stourport.

The offenders are described as white men, both of stocky build and about 6ft tall, both wearing face masks with the St George flag and gloves. No-one was injured during the incident.

DC Chris Percival, from South Worcestershire CID, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the offence or who may recognise the masks and know where they might have been bought."
