FINAL preparations are well under way for the Malvern Salvation Army's annual family fun day.

The event, being held on Saturday at the army's headquarters in Newtown Road, Link Top, will feature attractions including a bouncy castle for young children, hook-a-duck, a smash-a-plate stand, face painting and bracelet making

Running from 10.30am until 4pm, it also features a tabletop sale, cake stall, a stall selling slate house signs, and more. At 12.30pm and 2.30pm the Malvern Salvation Army Timbrellists will perform, and a barbecue will also be open, offering hot dogs and burgers.

Lieutenant Leanne Wallis said: "We are really looking forward to putting the fun day on for our local community and we would love to see as many of you as possible.

"Even if you would like to just come for a cup of tea and a chat, or to find out a little more about the Salvation Army, then please come along. There really something is for anyone and everyone to enjoy, and I look forward to seeing you all."
