COLIN is a lovely two-year-old black and white Springer Spaniel in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch.

He is looking for a loving new home after his owners emigrated.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Colin is a very affectionate and sweet natured boy. He is fit and healthy, in excellent condition and has been well looked after since he was a puppy.

"Typical of the breed, Colin is busy, energetic and needs lots of exercise. He is friendly, enjoys company and is good with other dogs."

Colin is housetrained, neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Please ring Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information.

The branch is urging animal lovers to get their pet microchipped ahead of a change in the law.

From April 6 all dogs in England, Scotland and Wales will be legally required to be microchipped and their details registered on one of the authorised databases.

With this in mind, the branch is holding a Microchipping Day on Saturday, March 19.

They will be microchipping dogs, cats and rabbits between 11am-1pm at their administration office at 12 Sansome Place, Worcester WR1 1UA.

The cost is £6 per animal.

For more details, call Louise Quayle, branch administrator, on 01905 20822 (Monday to Friday between 9.30am-1.30pm).
