AN up-market charity shop in Malvern town centre will be celebrating its fifth birthday over the Easter weekend.

Deja Vue, on Belle Vue Terrace, which raises funds for St Richard's Hospice, is inviting customers to join in its celebrations on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.

The store, run by shop manager Jenny Luke with a team of 15 dedicated volunteers, gives people the chance to sell high-end clothing and get some money back while a percentage supports the services of the Worcester-based hospice.

Jenny Luke said: “We have hundreds of agency clients selling their items through us and we have a fantastic range of famous brands such as Barbour, Harris Tweed, Liberty, Toast, Burberry and many more for our customers to buy.

"It’s a win-win situation, with the seller making some money from a pre-loved item and St Richard’s raising money to help support patients and families.

“It’s a treasure trove here with many customers coming back again and again because they know they will find something desirable. For example we’re currently selling a beautiful vintage Jean Patou 1960s opera coat and have a lovely selection of handbags from Ralph Lauren, Celine and The Bridge to Tod’s."

The shop will be celebrating its fifth birthday on the Friday and Saturday with cake, party food and the chance to win a £20 gift voucher. from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

The dress agency also houses a vintage and retro clothing selection. Anyone wishing to sell items through the shop should make an appointment by calling 01684 577890 or by visiting the store.

The shop is also on the lookout for new recruits to its volunteer team, and anyone interested should drop in for a chat.

St Richard’s Hospice supports over 2,600 patients and family members each year with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Last year, the hospice’s 18 shops across Worcestershire achieved a turnover of £2.37 million by selling good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture donated by local people.
