THE latest plan to expand Malvern Hills Science Park has been given the go-ahead by Malvern Town Council.

Members of the council's strategic planning committee were asked to comment on the application for Phase Five of the park's development.

The application includes demolishing and existing building, which used to to occupied by the now-closed company Dytecna, and replacing it with a new two-storey building.

The new building will provide around 1,500 square metres of space that could be used by new tenants or by established tenants looking to expand.

It will be energy-efficient, resulting in lower operating costs for businesses, and also improve the attractiveness of the science park, say the applicants.

Cllr Cynthia Palmer, said: "We're extremely lucky to have the science park here and we should be fully in favour of this application."
