STARSAILOR, Primal Scream and We are Scientists are among the star-studded line up that has been announced for this year’s Lakefest.

Returning for a fifth year the festival is being held in the grounds of Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, for the first time between August 11 and 14.

Three further headline acts are due to be announced in the months leading up to the popular event, which has switched to the new venue having previously held successful festivals at Croft Farm Waterpark.

Scottish rock band Primal Scream have gained a huge cult following after several hits including Loaded, Movin’ on Up and Come Together.

The band are due to release their 11th studio album, Chaosmo-sis, in March.

We Are Scientists exploded on to the music scene in 2005 with dance rock records including With Love and Squalor.

They have gone on to have main stage slots at Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury and T in the Park, as well as at festivals all over Europe.

Starsailor are another major booking for Lakefest, as the band have enjoyed a string of hits over the last 15 years.

Among the band's popular tracks are Four to the Floor, Keep Us Together and Fever.

The band have fans worldwide, and they have supported legendary bands including The Rolling Stones, The Police and U2.

The line up reveal follows the announcement that last year's Lakefest has been named the winners of the Best Small Festival, in the Festival Kidz awards.

Lee Martin, Lakefest director, said: “We have put a huge amount of work into building the right line-up for this year, and I’m so excited to share this latest news with our loyal supporters.

"Lakefest 2015 exceeded all of our expectations.

"It’s a dream come true to be able to take the festival forward in such an immense way.

"There is obviously an impressive change of venue to take into account for this year and so many new and exciting things set to take place.

"We stick to our roots and are four guys who had a vision to put together a music festival – ensuring that the right music is in place is our priority."
