MALVERN Tourist Information Centre has donated £183 to Acorns Children’s Hospice after another successful Post a Letter to Santa campaign.

Children posted their Christmas wish lists in the Victorian post box located inside the centre during November and December, with the purchase of a special £1 stamp. They then received a personal reply and a small gift from Santa, straight from the North Pole.

Since the campaign has been running, the team at Malvern TIC, run by the district council, has raised more than £2,144 for Acorns.

Mandie Fitzgerald of Acorns said: “We’re so grateful to have once again had the support of Malvern Hills District Council through its Letter to Santa initiative. We rely on the community to continue our work so this on-going commitment helps to provide the vital income we need.”

Anne Rich, the tourist information centre supervisor, said: “We are delighted so many families get involved in this annual tradition. The charity provide such important care and services, and we are pleased that we can all pull together to help with this.”
