ANIMAL lovers are invited to an RSPCA cat rehoming day this Saturday, January 16.

The Worcester & Mid Worcestershire Branch of the charity is holding the event between 11.30am and 2.30pm at Teme Acre Cattery, Old Road, Old Powick Bridge, St John’s, Worcester, WR2 4BU.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "All the cats in the private cattery we use are fed up with the awful weather we've been having over the past three weeks while rehoming stopped over Christmas and the new year.

"They would much prefer to be in a loving home with a warm lap to sit on so they're all hoping the new year brings them new homes."

All cats available for adoption are vet checked, neutered or spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and come with six week's free pet insurance.

Many of the cats can be seen on the local branch website at www.rspca-worcester.co.uk.

One of the cats waiting for his forever home is Wilbur. He is a seven-year-old tabby and white short haired boy.

Wilbur is very affectionate and loves people, but is not keen on other cats and needs to be the only cat in the household.
