MALVERN composer Derek Smith will have his newest work premiered at a concert in Worcester's Huntingdon Hall later this month.
His Creation Suite, based on the famous choral work by Haydn, will be performed by Chamber Winds, an ensemble of senior wind students from Cardiff’s Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Kath Brain of Espressivo Concerts said: "Derek Smith is a well-respected composer and arranger and his superbly crafted Creation Suite provides an opportunity to hear much of the wonderful music from Haydn’s Creation played by wind ensemble, a combination of instruments loved by Haydn himself."
The concert's programme also includes music from Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
