STAFF and members at Sport Dyson Perrins in Malvern helped raise £130.93 for the British Heart Foundation with a pre-Christmas fundraising campaign.

The sports centre, run by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Malvern Hills District Council, joined forces with its counterpart in Martley for the Wear It, Beat It campaign.

People simply had to choose a fun class, wear something red and donate £1 to take part.

“I’d like to say a massive thank everyone who took part in our fundraising event. The British Heart Foundation does extraordinary and lifesaving work and we were very pleased to be supporting its Wear It, Beat It campaign,” says James Chaplin, Freedom Leisure centre manager.

“At this time of year when our thoughts turn to giving and generosity, this was an ideal opportunity to wear festive red and support the charity', not to mention the fact that the classes were a great way to burn a few extra calories and tone up ahead of enjoying some festive treats.”
