MALVERN shoppers on the look out for sales have been given a boost after new parking has been created at Malvern Retail Park.

West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin and local county councillor Paul Tuthill gathered to welcome the new parking area which will add extra capacity for shoppers..

The spaces have been created thanks to extra funds allocated by developers as the site expands.

MP Baldwin said: "The retail park offers local shoppers a great range of stores to grab bargains but we have all struggled to find car parking space at busy times.

"These car parking spaces will offer extra capacity and allow more people to grab bargains between Christmas and New Year."

Councillor Paul Tuthill confirmed money has also been used to improve footpaths at the back of the retail park also.

He said: "The extra car parking was part of the planning approval given to enable extra shops to be built.

"In addition section 106 monies have been used to improved the footpaths at the back of the retail park and this will allow more people to walk from Malvern Link itself."
