THE Malvern Wells 'Sing a Song of Christmas' event at Malvern Wells Village Hall saw £222 raised for the children’s charity Mentor Link.
Chairman of the parish council Helen Burrage organised the sing-along which consisted of an evening of carols, music and readings followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
Mentor Link's Andrea Maddocks said she thanked everyone for their support. "The donation will be used to provide social and emotional support to distressed children in the area. We welcome enquiries about our service to children and young people which provides weekly one to one mentoring support with the aim of improving children and young people's well-being and engagement in learning.”
Mentor Link provides weekly one-to-one social and emotional support to vulnerable and distressed children and young people across Worcestershire by providing them with a volunteer mentor or counsellor.
