Burst water pipe at Powick

Severn Trent Water said the pipe had burst in a field near the old Powick Hospital but that the leak, because of the location, was not causing any disruption either to drivers or pedestrians.

The leak was reported early this morning. There is as yet no time frame for the repair work but we will update you as soon as we are informed.

A spokesperson for Severn Trent Water said: "We were called out earlier on this morning to a burst water pipe.

"We went out immediately to investigate it. They are now on site doing the repair work.

"It is not causing any traffic issues and there are no road closures."
