SATURDAY night will be a busy night in other parts of this large country benefice.
The village of Suckley is busy raising funds to repair the church tower and there will be a wine and cheese party at Carousel in Longley Green. All are welcome at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and donations will be most welcome.
Over in Alfrick at the same time, the village hall committee will be welcoming the intellectual elite of Alfrick to compete for first place at the quiz night. As the village hall has applied for funding for a complete refurbishment, support for this evening will help to swell Alfrick's contribution to the fund.
