A NEW centre in Malvern for children with special needs has been given a boost by a local county councillor

The centre, What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful, was opened recently in Howsell Road by Kim Philpotts.

She founded What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful as a support group in 2013 after struggling to find help for her son Archie, aged seven, who suffers from complex health problems.

Link councillor Paul Tuthill agreed to donate £1,000 from his divisional fund to pay for books in the new centre's library.

He said: "What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful is a worthy cause in that it has no paid staff, all being volunteers including Kim who works as a nurse practitioner."
